Image download not working since 1.5 Beta -> 1.5 Final

Hi,

Since my update from 1.5 beta to 1.5 final the image download button isn't working anymore. When pressing, a new windows is opened (with URL ...\download.php imageid), one second nothing and then just the home page.

I have read many threads in this forum, but I couldn't detect a solution.
(I have downloaded the latest Final version and updated the download.php)

Any advise?

Jan,

I can't leave it blank, I want to use it to let users download a high quatlity image, not just the compressed (low quality) picture. I believe the Download URL was intended and needed for that use?

I have the same problem.
The "Download" button opens a new window with the "index" page, but the image is not downloaded.

The field "Download URL" is empty.

the script is running on our internal server which is a Suse 7.2 Linux System

I'm having the same issue on my gallery.

Go to "humor" catagory.
Clicking "download" just opens a new browser at the main gallery page.

I found the problem.

I noticed the same thing on my site last week.  Just now I found the time to look into it.

Jan / Nicky:

If an absolute URL such as http://www.MySite.com/path/to/download/file.jpg is used, the download button works and the user gets file.jpg instead of the jpg displayed from details.php

If a site relative URL such as /path/to/download/file.jpg is used, the image_download_url column in the 4images_images table is overwritten with a null value.

For those with this problem, try using an absolute URL instead of the site relative links you're trying now.

This is what works for me.

hi, i use the full path start with http://www.mysite.com/image/name.jpg but the download button is still not working, click on it, redirect u to the main page :(

Does anyone have a solution for this?  I've had this problem for almost a month now...
My install is a fresh install of 1.5.
