ok this may sound like a dumb question but how do you do it, im unfamiliar with what that is so if you could explain briefly on how to do it it would be great. and im sure it would solve my problem

you have an option in your admin ACP, to make a BACKUP of your database..
> General > Backup database
did you make it befor you moved to you new server?
not?
than you have a big problem!
or ask for a mysql database backup from old server..
-
i dont have the backup.. didnt realize i would need one. so basically im gonna have to redo my entire gallery? :\ no other way... cause i dont think there is a way of getting the old db from teh other server
-
well i dont know about your method never did try...
i usually go export the .sql file from the phpmyadmin in cpanel..
which one is better i dont know..but i guess mine works for me all time with other scripts..dont know yet about 4images..

Hi,
why not the easy way?
ACP > Database Backup > Create one
Copy the .sql file from /data/database/whatever.sql into the same
directory on the new server.
ACP > Database Backup > Locate the previous added whatever.sql and restore.
Legend: whatever means: backup + date_stamp + time_stamp.sql
For example:
Copying a 4i (online) into 4i Mobile Server (offline)
- Install a out of the box 4i
- Copy your data folder
- Import your db backup
