Picture size
« on: July 29, 2006, 05:22:12 PM »
Hi,
Can someone help me in getting the most out of the picture size. I am fairly new to resolution and sizes in pictures.

I need suggestions as what would be the optimal size and resolution for pictures so that they come out good and also take less space (mb).

Regards,
Mj

I guess its depence on what you are serving and what kind of audience you are expecting...
since more and more people are using screen resolution greater then 800x600 then image size of 800x600 would be most "compatible" with any resolutions that are greater then 800x600.
The filesize  will change with image quality (compression), so I guess quality between 75-85 is the most optimal for filesize vs quality.
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)
