Dear mawenzi,

thank you for your replay.

The problem is that i`m not posting to that thread  for some reasons:

1. It is in Spanish.
2. The MOD itself works OK on details.php, the problem is that the code of postcards.php w`ont display additional_image_fields at all.
3. I posted there.

Please, corect me if i`m wrong.

Hello,

I cann`t believe nobody won`t say how to display aditional_image_fields on postcards.php page.
{if google_id} ... {endif google_id} {if youtube_id} ... {endif youtube_id} simply shows nothing on the postcard.php when postcard is seen.
Another users (from this topic: http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=13557.0 also have this problem.
Please, help with this, i appreciate it.

I`ve installed this mod "Google VIDEO & YouTube integration" and have troubles in displaying it on poscards.php

{if google_id} ... {endif google_id} {if youtube_id} ... {endif youtube_id} won`t display anything, tried to fix it with no results. However on details.php works OK.


Could somebody to enlight me how to do.?

cat_id=nnn   image_id=nnn

id's must have numbers, no letters.
Anythink is wrong in your gallery.

with "nnn" i just did want to show an unexisting image_id or cat_id (a deleted image or category). It doesnt need Reinstall

Hello

Could somebody help me to disable redirecting to index page with Result code: 302 (Found / Found) when a 'categories.php?cat_id=nnn' or 'details.php?image_id=nnn' is not found, with a adequate server response?

With this redirect you`ll get penalized by search engines very bad.

Please, it needs to be fixed somehow.

Want to thank you for your re, also I want to let you know i`ve noticed your replay instantly but as i was "negotiating" with support stuff of my hosting company i did wait to have a response from them. More here - the server was down and i was unable to download logs.

Well it was a hardware problem (RAM) and now is fixed. But the situation was very strange: a part of script works, another don`t, never mind it can be a software issue...

Hello,

I need help from 4 images experts:

The problem:
Often my script index, categories, details pages are in error (URL can not be retrived), while admin section works well.
No errors from php.exe/apache, as reported by host support. Few php errors noted but i suppose errors appear then the server is unstable already.

I will be very glad if somebody can help me online, please, just let me know the prefered contact method (ICQ, YM, MSN...) by replaying here.

Hello,

on the test gallery i`m working with the new, 1.7.3 version.

I`d like to share my experience with the process of installing mods within this version.


  1. Toplist altered  - OK
  2. Last comments v1 - OK
  3. eCard Counter - OK
  4. Dynamic Page Title - OK (few places needs to analyze the code from php files as it doesn`t match ideally)
  5. Postcard viewer - OK
  6. Adjustments to postcards.php for preventing yahoo bulk mail filter - OK
  7. "Ecards received" notification - OK (again, few places needs to analyze the code from php files as it doesn`t match ideally)
  8. Last comments on index page - OK
  9. Batch annotate - OK

OK means after installing these mods the gallery and mods works great.
My rating so far for 1.7.3 "9.5" / 10

I`d like to ask here 1 question:

Is possible to disable the "verification code" for uploading image, sending postcards until it will be needed? so far i still didn`t encounter spam problems with this. And if it is possible to simplify the code to 2-3 letter with a smaller "image of verification code"? (to be honest i didn`t look yet the php code for this aspect).

It works! and "postcard sent" e-mail with this modifications is not filtered to bulk folder!

Thanks for your replay, Vano.

I just did a small "error.html" page and a line included in .httacces
Anyway the increasing of logs is less problematic than up to 25% of site bandwidth used by hotlinkers, or a increase of server load by image paths hiding/changing scripts.

but be aware, that if people try to reply to these emails, the reply will be send to your gallery email address instead.

Thank you, V@no for your replay. Is what i need, in fact i`ve tried to figure it out from the mail.php, to learn some more php coding but didn`t risk to put it up on the server.
Your solution is the simplest possible.

Hello

I got an idea of a simple antihotlink measure. 4images gurus: please tell me is OK or not?

Instead of loading pages with scripts hiding image path i changed the name of "data/media" folder to "data/NNmedia" and changed the path for media folder in "includes/constants.php" file. The 4images script is working well, but i`d like to hear the script experts opinions if this measure is ok or not.
The "NN" on the media folder name means digits from 01.....99 and, if this ok, it should be changed randomly by hand from time to time...
