Hello Mr. Vierstra,

I copied ' . date("D M j Y G:i:s", $imgRow['image_date']) . ' from details over to the index and I'm proud to say I do get a date but 1970 won't do!

Could you give me a hint about how to get the correct date please?

If you have an install of 4images that you've been having fun with for years this is a wonderful opportunity to keep it running into the future!!!

It uses the existing database and modern versions of php

"Running on Apache / PHP 8.02

Only the database and data are used from the original, all php is new.

You can "side load" the new looks on your existing 4images installation without any modifications

This is a brilliant approach which could keep the 4images gallery system working way into the future!!!

No need to reload your images and your hits etc. persist after "sideloading" his template system.

I checked out your alternative to 4images but it looked like too much work migrating over to there - I could always move to WordPress but again, too much work, and WordPress just lacks soul.

Jump in here and I bet you're just as impressed as I am!!!

I took up Vienix's offer and side loaded his work and suddenly I had a modern, responsive, slick version of 4images!!!

Hi,

Installed 1.8 successfully with no changes.  Unfortunately some mods don't work which is to be expected.

Am hoping interest picks up by the brilliant coders who originally made it work!!!

Hi,

I can't seem to get his on version 1.8, sigh.

I've tried the original from Mr. V@no and the update to 1.4 in reply 43.

The good news is that nothing broke when I published the changes.

I had this working in the non updated version of the website.  I do have Mr. V@ano's brilliant sitemap mod working so I'm disappointed that this mod is unhappy in 1.8.

What I'm trying to achieve is a bunch of random images in a column in a sidebar (which I had before) or anywhere.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Same question here, I use to have lots of images on homepage but have forgotten how I did it and I've updated to 1.8 and now there only a few.

I just updated to version 1.8 and my sitemap stopped working - the original link was {url_sitemap} and now nothing happens, sigh.  I really miss my sitemap, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Just updated ancient install to the current version.  I'm getting mixed content errors which I've thought I could fix but it looks like I'm missing some http that need to be changed to https - or could it be something else?  It's been so long since I installed it originally I've forgotten how it works.  If anybody remembers how to clean this up suggestions for the fix will be appreciated.

Adding to the mystery is that the javascript console has some kind of bug and only displays:

DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for chrome-extension://fheoggkfdfchfphceeifdbepaooicaho/sourceMap/chrome/content.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME
DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for chrome-extension://fheoggkfdfchfphceeifdbepaooicaho/sourceMap/chrome/iframe_handler.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME

so it won't help sniff out ssl errors

Great News!  It wasn't 4images, it was a setting on the hosting solution side.

I love the feeling of control I have with this software - hope it continues to be supported!!!
