Mods & Plugins (Requests & Discussions) / Is This The Right Code?
« on: July 05, 2003, 07:58:31 PM »
Hey,

Thanks for the reply, and I've tried this...

Code: [Select]
<? include("media/index.php?template=whos_online") ?>

But this is the error I receive:

Code: [Select]
Warning: main(media/index.php?template=whos_online): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/absbrit/public_html/index.php on line 9

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'media/index.php?template=whos_online' for inclusion (include_path='') in /home/absbrit/public_html/index.php on line 9

Anyone know why?

Oh, and the media/index.php (the media part) is the folder where all 4images script is contained, instead of 4images...

Can anyone help?

And again, anyone know a way of putting users online on the site (not the image gallery)?

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks again :)

Marc

Hey...

I'm not sure if this has already been covered.. I have searched, but all I can ever find is "Latest Users" and stuff.. Nothing that I'm searching for...

I was wondering what code I'd put in my home page, to show who is currently online, at the Image Gallery... Just so you know, the home page is in a different section to the Image Gallery...

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but if it has, could someone please link me to it? Thanks!

Oh, and one more thing.. Does anyone know how to do a SIMPLE "Users Online" script, where it says "2 users online" or something, that is not 4images related? See, I want one for the site (amount of visitors visiting the site) and then another on who is at the Image Gallery...

I hope someone is able to help!

Thanks once again :)

Marc

Hi There,

I have searched the forum, and haven't seemed to come across anything, so I'm sorry if I'm just asking yet the SAME question...

Basically, my server is on Linux.. and I am running ImageMagick 5.51! I have gone into "Settings" in the admin, and changed it to use "ImageMagick" as the thumbnailer...

Now I think the problem is, where I write in the path...

I have tried : /usr/bin
as well as : /usr/bin/convert

Could anyone tell me if that is correct, or perhaps there is some ammending I need to do? I have also ticked where it says "Automatically Thumbnail" Any other errors it could be!?

When I upload the image, it says "Image uploaded successfully" but then when I look, the thumbnail is the default "JPG" picture...

If anyone could help me, I'd be very appreciative!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you can help :)

Cheers,

Marc

Installation, Update & Configuration / Unable To Register New Users
« on: December 16, 2002, 01:41:00 PM »
Hey Everyone!

I'd like to thank everyone who helped me with my other problem... Thanks to wonderful people such as yourselves, I was able to resolve the whole "Page Cannot Be Found" but now I got a new error...

When I try to register a new user, I fill in all fields, and then get this message :

Warning: fgets(): supplied argument is not a valid File-Handle resource in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/s4bmedia.com/httpdocs/vids/includes/email.php on line 185

Email Error: Invalid mail server response (service not ready?):

Could anyone explain what it means, and how to resolve?

Thanks ever so much,

Marc

Hey!
OK. Well I've done everything I can, and I just don't know what else to do... Basically, I can create categories with ease... And that's fine.. Now I add an image/video (video in this case) and it loads alright... But then I try uploading another (even into different categories) and it says loading... And does that for about 2 mins, then goes onto "Cannot find server"... Does anyone know why this is? And how I can resolve it?

I have tried batch uploading them.. But, my site is on a Safe Server! I then read the post about Safe Server, and how to bypass it, but I still got the same message... So can ANYONE PLEASE HELP!?

I sure hope so... Coz I am very desperate

Thank you so much,

Marc

P.S - I'd just like to add, that when I upload a vid/file, it comes up in my FTP Folder... But doesn't show up on the actual script - why is this? Please someone help.. I'm desperate!!

Hey again! :D

WoW! Quite a few questions... And here are the answers  :)

I have already tried to open up a new server area, and add just a few categories, and then the "Edit Cats" does work... Also tried refreshing the script, trying to get another... Nothing has worked...

I can add Categories  I am able to add quite a few in fact, but I don't, because I can't edit them to where they must go...

It never ever hangs or stops when I'm viewing the images no.. It goes very fast in fact, and loads quickly  :D

Edit Categories was working once upon a time... It's actually just after I found I had a virus on my computer (gone now) that I realised it never worked (hadn't been online in ages to add/edit any cats tho) So it culd be virus-related...

Modifications or changes? None that I can think of no... Just uploaded a few more pics (about 344 or so)

It appears to be only the "Edit Categories" section... None of the others are giving troubles..

I am running on Windows XP, on my own server... You may say the Windows XP is unstable or something, but why did it ever work then?

Thanx for all the questions!

Please reply soon =)

Laterz,

Marc

Currently I have around 700 categories and no problems.
I believe I also saw a post, somewhere ... not sure where, with over 1000 categories.

As far as any variables that limit the creation of categories, I have not come across any.  But I have just started customizing 4images --

BTW:  I dont know how you have been creating categories but if you use the "batch upload", a modification under "Mods" you can create mass directories then upload them with or without images contained.

If I remember correctly, browsers have a page size limit -- so perhaps if you are using an older browser this could be an issue.

Does your system hang at any other point, say while checking for large numbers of images ?

Will try to help if I can, providing additional info about your system and or configuration might help.

regards,
mblond

Hey MBlond

Thank you for replying!

Well, basically, I am running this script from my home computer, because I currently don't have a site that can take PHP files...

I am currently on Internet Explorer 6... So I don't think that's the prob :P

If you need anymore info, I will be happy to give it to you!

If you want to e-mail me rather, then post again, and I'll mail you!

Thanx again

And reply soon

Cheers =)

Marc
