Is that intended to work this way?

BTW: thank you for this mod after a huge spam-attack last month I was forced to implement it...

Was meinst du damit???
Falls du den abgebildeten Bildnamen auf details.php?image_id=xx mit einer Seite verlinken möchtest,
editiere bitte doch bitte templates/<deintemplate>/details.html
Dort solltest du irgendwo {image_name} finden...diesen Text kannst du ohne Probleme mit einem Link <a href...> versehen.

im ACP sollte eigentlich nich "ja/nein" stehen, sondern männlich weiblich... oder besser nur der text m/w(/b falls hermafroditen erlaubt sin )

• Ist in der DB der das feld auch richtig eingestellt (also für texteinträge)?
• Hast du überall im code "user_sex" durch "sex" ersetzt (also db_field_definitions, register_form, usw)?

Kannst du das etwas genauer definieren?
Bei mir funktioniert alles ohne alle probleme - schau mal bitte nach,
ob du alles schritt für schritt richtig implementiert hast...

1.) I Have installed this mini MOD but if i go to the member_profile site. i see a mini black field with white border but not the images sex.

Did you set the gender-entry in the MySQL database for "Marcel W" and all other users?
If not, see here, how to do that.
Check also the path to the "broken" image - if it isn't coded to a inexisting file or if it isnt just smt like ".../.gif"

You can stay with your template files from the 1.7.1 - these won't be affected (well, at least the standard parts not - all the MOD-Stuff might cause problems)

Sure - you can just implement the security fixes and other bux-fixes if these bugs are causing you problems, but then you'll still have your version 1.7.1 with some fixes and mods.
It is your decision:
* stay with old, but to your needs adapted version - just be sure to have all the security issues solved and you can't expect a lot support then
or
* update to version 1.7.2 and re-write the modifications you did before in your 1.7.1

or I can change only the new files ?

If you did build in some modifications and then changed the new files, you'd loos your modifications and you can expect unexpected behaviour of your gallery system...depending on the modifications

well,

as long as all these files will contain some of your code-modifications there is no real chance of updating without loosing your mods... 

I guess you'll have to re-do all the changes or stay with your modded version (on the assumption that you've implemented all the security fixes announced in this forum).

That's quite easy, Jens.

I had that problem with "bots" but then realised, that there were ppl visiting my site "spamming" the comments and guestbook, not bots...
You don't have to track the bot down - anyboy can go to your page using  FF with a changed "User_Agent" to see the content.
You don't even have to install anything more, than you already have, if you followed the steps from the first post...

Just hide the comment forms from the bots with the {ifno is_bot} and bots won't be able to add any unwanted text...

Hide also all functions from the bots, which are not useful for them, like: Lightbox, PM, E-Cards, Download-buttons etc.

You're doing a good job "ironing out" the paths in mods,
but remember, that some graphics are the same on different templates - therefore I have
all flags/gender signs etc. stored in the "default" template, no matter what
template is set actually...
