Member options won't stay set

I have my site www.image-cafe.net running through one of the www.vierstra.com templates (modified) but I have ver 1.7 installed of 4images.  

I've tried to set the USER SETTINGS through the control panel, such as "Allow users to edit their own images" etc. I've set them to YES allow users to edit, delete, etc.  Saved it but everytime I exit and come back into the program it's reset back to NO for all those selections.   :

I'm thinking this might be due to the template being built for an older ver of 4images??  

Any suggestions what files i need to update in the 4ROUND template to make it ver 1.7 compliant??

yes, www.vierstra.com templates dont support some new features in v1.7
and u need manualy edit them.
so, if u want users allow edit their comments, then u need edit coments_bit.html template and add:

{if admin_links}{admin_links}{endif admin_links}
for example like this:

      <tr>
        <td valign="top"><b>{comment_headline}</b></td>
        <td valign="top" align="right">{if admin_links}{admin_links}{endif admin_links}</td>
      </tr>

but the problem what u have is not templates, cant say what it is.
but how about other settings? do they chage back after u exit?

I don't think it is your template. If you set those option in the admin menu and then save and come back later and settings are set back to the default, this is not a template problem but a bug, look at the link I gave to see how you can fix this.
