hi all

i've done the part that eliminate the problem that user have to sign up twice, basically now if they sign up in 4images, they also are signed up in phpBB

i'm working on the auto login and session cookies part, this is the hard one as i am not very good at php

i personally think that people will/should only get support if they provide their url of 4images to...see how they've modded the software and also to see if they keep the copyright notice for the author...

i know lots of site never keep the copyright notice tho but it's not my duty to say it

i'm gon install a fresh 4images and phpBB2 tonight and try to intergrate them.

I don't know much about php tho so wat i'd do first is to eliminate the need of having sign up twice. This won't be hard i think,

So when the user click on the sign up link on phpBB forum, they will be redirect to the 4images sign up page. Once they sign up there, the data is also inserted to phpBB forum database as well.

If they update/change their profile (can do it via 4images), the password and email in phpbb database will also be updated. They also can change the profile in phpBB but they CAN'T CHANGE PASSWORD or EMAIL there, this is to make sure they have the same password and email on both sites

I will try to finish this by tomorrows and give u guys update

The problem i think i will have is that the session id and automatic login, if they use auto login on both sites, when they come back, they won't have any problem login in. But if they only use auto login on 4images OR phpBB then when they login one site, they still need to login other site. I will need help on this.

i use the Jpilot chat mod for phpBB and i think its easy to intergrate in to 4images the mod uses mIRC tho

so  u mean my host got safe mod off? most of hosts now have safe mod on tho including my host, but maybe they changed it, who knows

my host got safe mode on but i run 4images 1.6 without any problems...hurm...

u guys should upgrade to the latest version, 1.6, if ur host got safe mod on, it will work too

no i don't think so, b4 i had this problem too but when i move host, its gone, so i think it maybe bc' of the sql server high load in ur host? i don't know
