Hello,

I recently moved to another server and now when I make a change on the site like uploading a pic I can't see it until I clear the cache manually from the admin panel. It wasn't like this before and all files database etc are moved intact so what may be causing this? something about php settings perhaps?

I'll appreciate any help

Hello,

I don't know if this is the correct section but today I noticed on the "new pics" there were some pics uploaded that reads "Hacked by ..." they were hacked.png hacked_2.png etc in the tmp_media folder. In the description section it wrote "warning" I also noticed some new comments that were insterted with HTML link codes where they read "Hacked by xxxx" and last members table look like this.


I don't see anything wrong with the gallery I just deleted them all. Is this something I should be worried about? Anyone seen sth like this before?

Edit: And I just noticed I can register with unwanted characters like those above < > " etc, I found a topic this was fixed for 1.7.2 but current versions accept these characters, even official 4images demo you can register a username like <a href=http://www.google.com>google</a> shouldn't this be fixed also?

Mods & Plugins (Requests & Discussions) / Category Dropdown Form

Hello,

I have a 4images website with hundreds of categories. When I was trying to optimize the page for better speed, I noticed that category drop down menu really is a giant problem. I removed it and the page was 23k lighter, which is huge. And I doubt anyone uses that since it is so full of categories(100's) it'd be impossible to really navigate in it. And the same problem is in the category pages too since theres a dropdown in every categoey page. So overall, this is a serious matter with regards to website speed and the user experience.

So here's the thing. I want to keep it but it must only show "main categories", which I have around 40. In such case, the form would be only a few kb's and relatively navigateable for the user.

I'm guessing this shouldn't be too hard to implement. Any thoughts?
Couldn't find anything like this in the forum.

Alright I made a few searches and could not find mods which exactly cover this up.

1- If you have the direct upload option enabled for a certain category, but you still need to keep an eye on, you need a Flag as Inappropriate buton or link or something like that, preferably runs via ajax but not necessarily, I think such a mod would be cool.

2- Actually there are a number of mods which lets you have the pic fit to page, but most are too complicated and do things you do not want them to, like creating new resized images or having you use a new image.php file to display images and so on. What i need is, a mod which checks if the image is wider than 800px, and if so, shows it 800px wide, but without creating a new image just through width&height attributes of the <img> code, and you can see the full pic when you click on the pic on a new window, or like on some forums where you click on the link and it just streches the pic on the same page, probably with a java code or something. If the pic is narrower than 800px, it does not touch the pic at all. I am sure this is very easy to implement, just takes a functions code and a small alteration to media/gif,jpg etc. but I do not know about php so I can't do this.

Anyways, is there anyone who could implement these codes for me which'd work properly on 1.7.6? It may be with money too. I just need them.

Requests for paid modifications / Jobbörse / Please help File_copy_error

Hello guys,

I am using 1.7.4 and i recently changed my host. Now i have a problem. When i upload a pic when i am not logged in, as a guest i mean, it works, and i can approve it from the admin panel. However, when i am logged in, and trying to make a direct upload, it turns out a "file copy error"

Such as:

Error uploading image file:
picture-22.jpg: File copy error!

I am assuming it has something to do with permissions, but i did the CHMOD's stated in the installation doc, and as i said it works fine when i upload as a guest. So in order to successfully upload as admin user, which permissions should be given, or is this because something else?

Please state a price for this job i need to get this done asap.

Installation, Update & Configuration / Error with Image Upload (PHP5 Problem perhaps?)

Hello,

When i try to upload an image through the member upload form, using non-English(Turkish) characters, i get the error "Image name missing". The thing is, this was no issue until very recently, so i thought some hosting thing  caused this. Anyways, i asked my hosting provider, HostGator, and they told me they are updating the PHP and MySQL versions from 4 to 5.

Now, is it possible that this upgrade might have caused this? I can't think of anything else becausde it was working just fine until 2 days ago and i didn't change anything with the script since then.

I searched for PHP5 Fix etc. but i couldn't find anything like this.

So what do you guys think? I will really appreciate if someone can help me about this, free or paid doesn't matter, i need to get this done.

Oh and, if i can't fix this, is there a way i can make the image name, description etc fields non-mandatory in the upload form, so it won't give an error because of the "missing" image name.

Turkish / Türkçe / Resim Yüklemede Hata

Merhaba,

Sitedeki resim yükleme formunda resim yüklerken Resim Adı kısmına türkçe karakter girildiğinde resim yüklenmiyor ve "lütfen resim adı giriniz" hatası veriyor.

Böyle bir sorun kısa zaman önceye kadar yoktu, site HostGator'da barındığı için onlara sordum php versiyonunu 4'ten 5'e mysql'i
 de aynı şekilde 5'e yükselttiklerini söylediler.

Resmi Türkçe karakter kullanmadan yükleyip sonra resmi düzenle diyerek türkçe karakter eklediğimde oluyor fakat dediğim gibi yüklerken sorun var bu da ziyaretçilerin resim yüklemekten üstüste aldıkları hatalar sonrası vazgeçeceği için önemli bir sorun.

Sorum şu: 1- Bunu nasıl çözebilirim? 2- Çözemiyorsam resim adı alanının zorunlu olması durumunu kaldırabilir miyim, yani türkçe karakter de girseler hata vermesin?
