are u serious?
anyway, I like your design very much, the idea of separate "windows" for each part is very nice!
but, as two previous guys said, it takes too long to load all the graphic u put in the design, plus the pictures :? u could reduse filesize of each page, by using just background-color instead of an image + use classes instead of direct links to the background images (that will save atleast 2kb of the source size).
also, I think blue thumbnails border doesnt fit into design :wink:

but overal expression is - beatifull!

P.S. little suggestion, if I may ;)
add cellpading for "Clothing" and "MOTW" window, that will separate thumb from text

Nice design, but the site is very slow and only for users >1024*768.  :cry:

Cheers,

yes, for example u use like this:
Code: [Select]
<td background="/images/menubg.gif" colspan="3" align="center">
instead of u could use something like this:
Code: [Select]
<td class="tdbg" colspan="3" align="center">

It's okay, but I hate having to scroll sideways to view the actual images.  This side scrolling makes me not want to visit sites further.  Only because once I view an image I then have to scroll back to the left (usually) to go somewhere else.  I suppose either redesigning your sideblock so that it's not as wide, or making the actual gallery images smaller would be in order here.

but then the quality of the images posted would be lowered... but i'm running at 1600 x 1200 res so i really don't notice...

I guess it's just a matter of preference, but when I was still doing web design as a company, the majority of people were using 800x600, now I think it's up to about 1024x768.

In any event, for me I can do 1600x1200, but on a 19" monitor that res is too much of a strain on the eyeballs.  But to each his own, if you like it, thats all that matters.

Caelestis,
how did you use seperate windows for each part? did you edit in the template .html? by doing this, did you need to edit the .php files as well?

1600x1200 would give me such bad eye strain that I'd have headaches all the time even on my 19" monitor.

Over the last 2 years and hundreds, if not thousands, of visitors to my site, I've noticed the screen resolution breakdown is this:

55% :: 800x600
40% :: 1024x768
05% :: Other

I'm also like V@no in that if I have to scroll sideways to view pictures and navigate, I won't browse the site any further and won't visit again.

The borders are all broken when viewed in Opera. Internet Explorer and Mozilla are fine though. I don't know if alternate browser support is a concern for you.

It does take a minute to load over broadband.

In the Clothing and MOTW blocks, the text is a wee bit too close to the thumbnails, and there is a bit too much empty space in between everything.

Your choice of colors is excellent, though. I like the menu buttons at the top.
