Previous and Next Image Link Needed at Top of Image

Hey guys, I'm a pretty big newb to the php thing, but I'm in love with 4images' setup.

The problem I have, is I want the previous & next image links/buttons at the top of the image instead of down at the bottom. It would make it easier for guests to browse through the images.

I'm using the default template, although I've customized it to my liking quite a bit.

I've tried to do this a couple times without guidance, and ended up mangling things a little bit. So I beseech you for your help.
