Templates & Styles (Requests & Discussions) / New pics on top?
« on: December 25, 2005, 09:24:04 PM »
Hello,

was wondering if it is possible to have the latest added pictures on top of the page rather than underneath the categories... any ideas?
Thanks.

Hallo,

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Which HTML pages for which contents?
« on: March 29, 2005, 12:32:16 AM »
I have scanned the FAQs - I haven't found what I was looking for... (though not being positive if I have indeed used all possible search strings...)

I would need to know which HTML pages show which contents when paged through a php file. While I do realize that a number of HTML pages carry the same file name as their "parent" php's, a number of output pages are still a riddle to me (being unexperienced in HTML as well as php).

So, is there any chart or overview which would show a "tree" of sorts outlining which php files call which HTML pages and what their contents are? I guess that would greatly help (not only me) in finding the right HTML page to tweak for one's own purposes.

As always, your humble enquirer.

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Add new custom template
« on: March 28, 2005, 11:05:03 PM »
Actually, tried to reply to Chris' posting http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=4996.0, but there was no reply possiblity, so need to start this new thread and hope one of the admins will have mercy upon me...

I have now indeed created an FAQ HTML page, which I doctored out of the error.html page which Chris had suggested. So, now that this faq.html is ready to go live, I have no clue how to proceed.

This is what I would like to do (and I shall say that I have running v1.7 without any mods so far, so the plain vanilla out-of-the box design): Whoever enters the page should have the ability to first look at the FAQs (so as to inform himself prior to registering if desired.) That means that in the leftmost column, where there are currently two links underneath the login button, i.e. the "Forgot password" and "Register" links, I would like to insert a third link named "FAQ" which, when clicked, would then bring my faq.html displayed.

I know, this may sound like an idiot's question (and I humbly admit it probably is...), but maybe an easy-to-answer question for one of you geeks out there?

Anyone, pleeze?  8O
