Conversion Tool for Thumbnails

I would like to make the images to be visable as thumbnails, instead of the default GIF Image posted. I'm having trouble finding the download to install an Auto-Thumbnailer. If someone could please help me find the solution on what program to download, and maybe short guideline on how to install, that would be great.
