One download-url for all images

is it possible to define one url, e.g.: http://domain.com/pictures/{image_name}.jpg ??

... you know, that it is possible to have in every cat_folder a image with the same name ... ?
... and so this short download url can't work without cat_info / cat_id ...

... and there remains a question ... for what do you need such a download url ... ?

Yes I know. And it will not be a problem, beacause my e.g. link looked like this:
http://domain.com/pictures/{image_name}.jpg

I need it because i have my files on an external server. On my server are just the thumbnails and preview pics. Not the images with very high resulution.

And I know that it will work, because when I replace the default "download_button" with an normal button and a normal link to (http://domain.com/pictures/{image_name}.jpg) it works! But it doesnt count the download times. So i have no statistic for "most downloaded" on "top.php"


Do you know what I'm talking about?
