the most intelligent feature in 4images - Check New Images
« on: July 27, 2007, 10:12:35 PM »
I sincerely believe this "Check New Images" is the most intelligent feature in 4images, and one of the most intelligent features I have seen using many different gallery scrpts.

What is your most beloved feature?

Mine is auto-resizer. Not in every scripts we see this feature. :)
8 steps need when ask question -

- PHP version (ACP - > phpinfo())
- mySQL version (ACP - > phpinfo())
- 4images version
- Post screenshot / URL
- Post code in BB Code (no need full file for code) or post attach file
- It doesn't work. What is say - what is do for no work
- Install MOD ? If so - please say (troubleshooting)
- Read FAQ ? Install Bug fixes ?

I love that one too.... but eventually, it is not so difficult to download all your pics and resize them on your PC.

However manually adding every new picture, was VERY time demanding......

now I just upload all the new pics I have, and I check for the new images.

in brief, I love that feature particularly because it saves so much time and effort (and thus avoid so many inherent human errors)

resizing pictures is something any dev can do in batch with any of the common free tools, my preferred being irfanview32

however, adding the pictures manually before each at a time was so time consuming..

and adding the sql code through phpmyadmin to avoid manual addition of each pic, was often associated with forgotten unseen (excel-eaten) apostrophes, commas, and so on.
