Admin User/pass not recognized?
« on: October 24, 2002, 08:06:13 PM »
Hi!

First of all, thanks for making this script available. It is AWSOME!
Second, I created a administrator user name and password as requested in the instalation page, but when I try to log in with my administrator user name and pasword in the /admin/ area, I am getting "You are either no administrator or not logged in."
I tried to register as a new user and change user_level to 9, but still no luck.

Can you please help?

Thanks a lot,
Gabi.

Did you enabled cookies?

Jan
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
1. Forum rules
2. FAQ
3. Search

Jan...

Yep, I have cookies enabled. Specifically here are my IE6 cookie settings:

-Override automatic cookie handling (checked)
-First Party Cookies (Accept)
-Third-party Cookies (Accept)
-Always allow session cookies (Checked)

Also the funny thing is that when trying to logg in (in the /admin part) I get a session ID in the URL:
( /admin/index.php?sessionid=2f7fec4ad756c13280b0e374d5858544) but my page is still the same saying "You are either no administrator..."

Thanks,
Gabi.

i have the same problem. nothing what really bothers me cause it was on my localhost test server. itīs sure that itīs not a probem with cookies.
- i can log in in the users interface
-from the admin login i am always redirected back to the login page

system is local, winxp pro (sp1)  with apache (fox serv package)

maybe you can simulate the thing with the foxserv package.
