Hi,

I recently switched to a new host and completed database recovery, but it work very very very slow, I have no idea why .... Is it because my database is big? (6083 images in 206 categories) (2.5meg I think)

Please click on the link below, you shall see it's really slow, http://www.vietvui.net/vnunited/db/index.php I'm pretty sure it's not the host, because I have other 4images gallery that run on the same server pretty fast ...

Is there some I can do to test and fix?

It doesn't seem to slow to me but I have nothing to compare it to since you didn't post any URLs of the other installations where you say it's not a problem.  The only thing I can add is that you should update the templates for version 1.7 if you haven't already done so.  The template pack you are using was originally designed for version 1.5.  Instructions are found at the same web site you got the templates.

yeah, your first site takes forever to respond, but then it loads very fast...
did u try disable random image feature in /includes/constants.php ?
