Hi,
How can I make sure that the "URL" ( external) entered in the Upload form, should directly download from the external site and not through 4images, as that will cause heavy server usage. Now I usually edit the image and then copy the URl from ( "Image file ") to the " Download URL" section in ACP.

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Change admin password in New server after hacking

Hi,
 My web site got hacked, hence I have installed the new 4images 1.72 version in a new server. The installation went well and I was able to login with the new username & pasword I created. After that, I dumped the old Sql database and the database got updated. But now I cant login with the new username & password I ceated, but I can login with the old username & password . I presume that the old username& password got dumped when I restored the old data. I looked at the config.php file, which has BUT the new username & password only.
Where could Have I gone wrong.
An urgent help is requested.

Hi,
 I want either an .swf flash file , or .wmv video files to play in the details page itself , without opening a new page or downloading it.
Also I would like the viewer to compulsorily click on an AD ( that are laid out in the details page itself) before playing the video.
 Kindly help me

Hi Moderators,
 There are a lot of questions that remains unanswered. Are you losing interest in support ? Most of them I agree , may have been answered elsewhere , but it would be helpful to answer with the topic reference.

I am a legal user having paid for the 4images product and was given an assurance that my requests would be given more preference. But I find many of my posts , still unanswered.

Though, we can survive with  basic knowledge, but can do wonders if helped by knowledgeable people like V@ano.

Discussion & Troubleshooting / How to stream video instead of download?

Hi,
 I have a video website, and I need to stream the video, instead of downloading it. I have given the download URL as , an html file for html streaming. But the window shows just a blank screen.  However if I type the URL to the html file in a new window, the video streams fine. My video is a wmv file.
ANy ideas?

 Though I have set " Activate Registration by Email" , so that an user automatically registers , I would like an email to be sent to the admin also of the new registration. Is that possible?

Hai,
 I am looking for such an effect as in http://www.thoughtequity.com/video/showAllCollections.do. If you move the mouse over the small icons under each thumbnail, it displays, details, Preview etc. How can we achieve this on buttons from 4images, where one button fetches the relevant details from the Image details etc...without clicking on the image fullyto go to is full detail page. I think this will be of use to many.

Hai,
 I need the filesize of my downloads to reflect the orginal filesize of my videos, but however it now displays the filesize of the image. Hence i thought of adding a field in Control Panel , in " Add Images" section to manually add the filesize of the orginal download.
Can someone post the step by step instruction , and finally show the details also in details.html

Hai,
 After a user logs in, Can I show only categories that a user has permission to download?
This is how it should work.
Home page shows all categories.
But after a user logs in all the non permitted categories disappear and only the categories (usergroups)  to which he has permission alone should be shown.
Ofcourse this varies from user to user.

Hi Vano,
 Can you help me in acheiving this effect? Once a user logs in , the Usergroup for which he is currently subscribed should also be shown. Hence a user can know for what all usergoups he has acess to.

Hai Vano,
 CAn u give me the exact syntax to point my "download_off.gif" button to another URL.
I have tried the forums...but I always get an error.

Kindly give the syntax in full...
For ur refreence the orginal code in functions.php is
$download_button = "<img src=\"".get_gallery_image("download_off.gif")."\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" />";

I need this button to point to another URL.
