Mod rewrite tweak
« on: May 20, 2005, 09:16:40 PM »
Im curious to see if anyone could tweak mod rewrite.  In its current state mod rewrite turns cat3?blahblah into cat3.htm... which helps with spidering but isnt SEO friendly.  A more search engine optimized mod would change catagoryx into its catagory name.  And change imagex.htm to its image name... how hard do you think that would be?  help?

1) there is no such thing u've discribed in fresh 4images, therefore:
"Do not start a new topic. Instead, please reply to the mod thread. That way you get the attention of those who use the Notify me when a reply is posted option and it keeps all related information in one place for people who search the forums."
2) if u'd read the replys at the topic u are refering to, u'd find an answer to your question.

Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)

Do your research into SEO.  You'll find that this statement is only good for people, not search engines. ;)  It's page content, not URLs that achieve higher page rankings.
