Image size adjustment.
« on: May 10, 2003, 11:54:39 AM »
Nice days for all  :P  ,

I had setup 4images in my site, this is great image management system  :D .

But I had face a little problem as below  :wink: , I hope if you have the same problem I had meet, please give me your kind hand to help me up too  :o  .

Example 1:
========
I had setting a size 700 pixels x 700 pixels with max about 1000kb.

I am trying to post up picture 1600 x 1200 pixels with 2.1mb size.

But 4image system did not reject this process. It uploads successfully. How come the system did not rejected the files is larger than my setting limit in 4image control panel?  :(

Example 2:
========
This problem is similar with my (Example 1), this problem is about thumbnail. I had setting up my thumbnail 90 pixels X 90 pixels with 100kb size. I trying to test posted exactly the file I had mention above 1600 x 1200 pixels with 2.1mb size. The upload thumbnail is process successfully too.  :(

Do my scripts have any problem  :?:  This script is the latest scripts I had download from main site. Or do any scripts need to modify  :?:

Hope I can get your hand very soon.

Thanks.

Best Regards,

- Andersen

I had searching alot regarding this keywords but I can't really find out the source.

Usually, V@no, teach us to modify the picture size from template. But this is not I want. I want is 4image can block the user post up the picture’s pixels & size larger than my setting on my control panel. Not just resize the picture.

If not my server will out of space with store large image size.

Thank you

Have similar problem

I am facing similar problem you're facing. Only way to resize the thumbnail images is if I do it myself (in Photoshop) before uploading 'em. Users would be forced to resize their own images if they exceed the max. lengths, I tested it myself as a "registered user." It'd be nice if 4homepages would allow automatic resizing of large files as thumbnails to specified sizes set up by the admin. If there's a mod for this, then point me the way!

If I logged in as admin, then the max. lengths don't count because I'm the admin. :oops:

yes, there is:
http://4homepages.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4229

also, if u didnt know, that when u are logged in as admin, then the auto thumbnails wont work when u upload images not from Admin Control Panel (ACP), its only work for regular users.
