If you would like to show more new images on your 4images homepage, you will need:
Open index.php
Find:

Code: [Select]

$num_new_images = $config['image_cells'];Replace it with:

Code: [Select]

$num_new_images = XX;Where XX is the number of images.

this is nice, but should be a setting in the admin panel, not a mod....

strange... 

both IE7 and FireFox started yesterday hanging on this checkimages.php

In windows task manager, I can see the browser is taking 50% of cpu and about 500,000K RAM!

Is it my ram or the modded script ?

Still find some line of this:

$image_name = un_htmlspecialchars(trim($_POST['image_name']));

No pre-define.

forgive me, but I don't understand what you mean.

oooooooooooh. disappointing.

even members with non-ascii chars in their names are not able to log-in and they receive no error message whatsoever...

AND ......

to confirm to you that it is an absolutely Image Name problem, with the same user, same time, same system, same browser, I upload the same image, only difference being that I would use ascii/ansi chars for file name, and upload is successful....

Set:

in member.php file for all 4 and send attach file. Will look.

Ok, found it.

In member.php file,

find (2 time):

$image_name = un_htmlspecialchars(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name']));
$image_description = un_htmlspecialchars(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_description']));
$image_keywords = un_htmlspecialchars(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_keywords']));

replace:

$image_name = (isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name'])) ? un_htmlspecialchars(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name'])) : "";
$image_description = (isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_description'])) ? un_htmlspecialchars(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_description'])) : "";
$image_keywords = (isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_keywords'])) ? un_htmlspecialchars(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_keywords'])) : "";

Should work.

No friend, sorry. it does not work.

when I enter non-ascii (arabic) chars into the image name field, I get this error:

Please fill out the Image Name field

which of course I did.....


any help would be appreciated.

Intrst ... which line in member.php for $HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name'] ? May be bug for pre-define.

4 occurences.

line 343    $image_name = un_htmlspecialchars(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name']));

twice on line 430   $image_name = (isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name'])) ? un_htmlspecialchars(stripslashes(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name']))) :

line 495    $image_name = un_htmlspecialchars(trim($HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name']));


am attaching both files.

hello.

After a lot of painful research and trial and error, I found out that when the Image Name field is in non-ascii chars, the upload fails (captcha deactivated in global.php)

After additional painful research, found out that this problem could be avoided by replacing the 4 occurences of $HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name'] in member.php by $_POST['image_name']

Now I also found out that users are not able to use non-ascii chars in comment title..... grrrh.

I searched details.php for any occurences of $HTTP_POST_VARS['image_name'], but there were none.

Any solution?


Linux server RedHat 9 PHP 5 mysql 4 Cpanel 11 4images1.7.4 latest.

i have a problem using this mod... dont know why...
i just got this error 3 days ago using version.1.7.2 now just upgraded to 1.7.4...
and still got problem with the new checknew images downloaded from here.

Check new images log 
 
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 25165824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 13056 bytes) in /home2/choadaoo/public_html/lienhoa/gallery/includes/image_utils.php on line 80
 
 
when i checked, it's shown images, but when i added and it's shown this problem.

this is not a problem with the mod but with your php settings.

ask your host to increase your memory or reduce the number of images to look for at one time.

• check in all categories at once
• check in a category including its subcategories
• auto resize
• auto create thumbnails
• auto insert IPTC info of name, description, keywords and date
• if no thumbnails found, creates temp thumbnails in preview list

pour vous montrer à quel point j'admire le travail sincèrement artistique et authentique de ce créateur, j'ai généralisé son template à tout mon site, même les pages en dehors du script de la galérie...... et regardez le résultat...

Ne montrer que les nouvelles images de certaines catégories: {new_images} from specific category et Exclude Category from New Images

Je suis certain que vous ferez bon usage de tout cela.
Je suivrai avec attention l'évolution de votre site.
Merci pour decopix d'avoir laissé le lien vers son site. Certains utilisateurs de templates n'ont malheureusement pas cette délicatesse.
