New images on homepage no longer update

Hi.  The new images on homepage no longer update. They are set to the same four for the last month or so. I only just noticed and it's way too long to retrace mod's etc. Is this a standard thing anyone knows how to fix?

We've added 2000+ images and the same 4 images stay on the homepage.

It's always the last 4 added and the timeout for new images is controlled from the admin CP Number of days each image is marked as new

Well, if the "time" is your problem, Chris's answer could help you ,
and if you'd like to randomize the "new pictures" then you might be interested in this mod:

I totally understand what it's supposed to be doing, but it's not doing that. we add images all day long. the 'new' images on the homepage are stuck. they stay the same no matter what.

If you're usng 1.7.1, turn off the caching system and then the home page will update with each load.  Just edit the cache settings in your config.php file

it still wont change. I have cleared the cache folder. made sure it was chmodded to 777, I have added the line to the config.php file;

$db_servertype = "mysql";
$db_host = "MYHOST";
$db_name = "*******";
$db_user = "*******";
$db_password = "*********";

$table_prefix = "4images_";

define("4IMAGES_ACTIVE", 1);

$cache_enable = 0;

But it still wont change. what else am i missing?

what is the time, you've set for an image to be new?

I guess you've somehow modified the PHP code because the dates on those "new" images are 13.04.2005 06:23 which is well past a 1 day limit for showing new images.  I'm afraid you're on your own on this one.  Good luck

lol. well, certainly not intentionally. Which php file should I replace back to the original to revert? Any suggestion?

This may be an indicator: If I RESET STATS, I dont get an error, but my stat's dont clear.

I have no idea what are u talking about...that has something to do with the problem with new images?
