Gaga's mod works fine BUT when i noticed that some images are not showing in the slideshow, I discovered that it does not show the gif images - anyway to get this fixed?

Secondly, lol, I just saw that V@no has another version of this slideshow AND I checked his flashshow.php file and it has the endfile of the images (gif included). So, I would like to try to install V@no's version but now I have a problem - do I have to remove EVERYTHING I did with Gaga's version?

I am afraid to touch anything further lol because I basically have zero knowledge of php. Help would be very much appreciated. :)

Never mind this query.. I think I got it to work. Thanks!

The first problem still remains - the GIF files. They still do not show. Any input pls?

maybe its flash itself limitation?

I guess so.. I am no expert in flash - could be that it does not accept gif files (animated and non-animated) - I just noticed that the slideshow states 4 images (which is true) but then it skips the gif files and shows only the jpg ones - hence in actuality only showing 2 images.

I confirm: in the original version of the script, no gif file is shown...  :?
I fetch in the code if it is an explicit limitation or not!

and what happens with the characters in europe? (i can not test this!!!)
:?:  Is the file xml in accordance with the expectations?
:?:  How are written the names of the images?

I think you could change something like that in for example Macromedia Flash MX if you know to use this application.

I have strange problem I cannot resolve. I've installed the slideshow with the 3rd version of the files. I then followed the instructions for "flashshow" and installed version 4 of some files. I was pretty meticulous in following the instuctions.

Problem: The slideshow works perfectly in opera, explorer and firefox some of the time and not at all other times. Clicking the link has no effect at times. On Explorer you can sometimes show a small directory but not larger directories.

Any suggestions?

Tim

I installed the version that V@no has on his web site... and I experienced the following issues

a) Only a few pictures are showing up in the slideshow.. I have 50 pictures in the category and only 10 are showing up. I checked the sizes and all the pictures are smaller than the max size in the code. How do i fix this?

b) Even un-registered users can see the slideshow. How do I make sure that only registered users can see the slideshow?

I have checked this forum for help, but could not find an answer. Someone please help. thanks

Has anyone tried to put this flash slideshow in user profile? So you can watch images from specific user?
