Database encoding
« on: September 02, 2012, 10:02:56 PM »
Hello folks,

Recently, some changes happened on my server, and now the encoding of all strings from the database (category names and comments) are shown in wrong encoding. The template labels, for example "Nächstes Bild" in my german template are shown correctly, however.

When I switch character encoding of 4images in templates/[name]/header.html to UTF-8 then the database strings are encoded correctly, but then the strings of the german template are wrong. The error occurs independently of which template I use.

What may have changed on my server, and how can I fix it?

4images 1.7.11, "4dark" template, MySQL 5.1.57, PHP 5.3.10
