PHP-Error
« on: October 07, 2007, 01:27:12 PM »
On the moval of another 4images-Installation to another server, we get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on a non-object in /srv/www/hedemuenden.de/public_html/photos/includes/sessions.php on line 215

4Images 1.7
PHP Version 5.2.0
MySQL Version     5.0.26

Does anyone have an Idea, what may be the problem?

Thanls in advance, Thomas

Your includes/db_mysql.php file is alter. Re-upload the file (TEXT Mode) and is work. ;)
8 steps need when ask question -

- PHP version (ACP - > phpinfo())
- mySQL version (ACP - > phpinfo())
- 4images version
- Post screenshot / URL
- Post code in BB Code (no need full file for code) or post attach file
- It doesn't work. What is say - what is do for no work
- Install MOD ? If so - please say (troubleshooting)
- Read FAQ ? Install Bug fixes ?

Ah, your hint was very helpfull (it wasn't the ASCII Mode, I had some Problems with a wrongly configured Quota at first, so I had some file of length 0 at some places).

After I changed that, the DB starts right, and appart from some problems with the hardcoded domainname, I could log in. But when I try to enter a category or view a picture, I only reload the Startpage.

The new site for the DB is currently reachable via http://hedemuendende.h1180693.serverkompetenz.net/photos (the public Name is not yet changed to the new server)

I'm trying to get the old version to run before updating (and getting all those optical changes under control another included). If I update now, everything will fall back to the standard UI, I fear.
