Problème de caractères accentués dans la recherche

Bonjour Manurom

Je viens d'essayer votre suggestion mais cela ne change rien.
En fait, quand je tape un mot clé sans accent qui existe, il le trouve sans probleme, si le mot n'existe pas j'ai le message d'erreur suivant:
Aucun résultat dans votre recherche avec "".

Par contre si je fait une recherche avec un mot accentué (qui existe ou pas dans les mots clés),  aucun message ne s'affiche et le navigateur reload la page de recherche.

If i search an existing word (no accent) in keywords, 4image find it and print the image
If i search an NO existing word (no accent) in keywords, 4image NOT find it and print : Aucun résultat dans la recherche avec "". ( note that "" in EMPTY)
If i search an existing or not existing word (with accent) in keywords, 4image do nothing and reload page (no error and no message)

Ask host for prob ? If no cPanel for web error logs, ask host to see what wrong.

Je viens d'avoir exactement le même problème suite au passage sous php5 (4images 1.7.4).

Tout POST ou GET avec un caractère accentué était ignoré (dans la recherche, le login, les upload, etc).

si je ne me trompe, cette solution a l'air de simplement remplacer les caracteres du genre ï par i.
Il n'y aurait pas une autre solution, plus propre? j'ai aussi ce probleme de caractères spéciaux.
par exemple les champs possèdant un ï ne passent pas lorsque j'ajoute ou recherche une image
Voici ma conf:
apache2.conf : AddDefaultCharset ISO-8859-1
mysql, interclassement : latin1_swedish_ci
lang/french/main.php : $lang['charset'] = "iso-8859-1";
j'heberge d'autres sites et je n'ai pas ces problemes.
