How to add my own variable to all url's

Hello, I am thinking about buying the 4images script for my web project. "Unfortunately" my project is available in 5 languages, the user can always - on every site - change the language from german to spanish, french, a.s.o. ... without losing the site where he or she is on at the moment.

Is it possible to add a variable "language=[eng|deu|fra|esp|ita]" to every link that is clickable on 4images, and as soon as the user changes the language the whole 4images site is changing the language as well incl. the categories, ...?

Hallo honda2000, vielen Dank für die schnelle Antwort. Ich werde das mit der Sprache vielleicht nun hinbekommen, wie aber gebe ich eine "eigene" Variable in jedem link weiter, der bei 4images anklickbar ist?

also anstatt z.B. index.php möchte ich index.php?language=eng, oder anstelle von categories.php?cat_id=2 möchte ich categories.php?cat_id=2&language=eng, usw. Gibt es in der Datei global.php oder irgendeiner anderen Datei von 4images, die bei jeder Seite aufgerufen wird, eine bestimmte stelle an der ich eine eigene Variable weitergeben kann?

versteh nur nicht recht, warum die Variable der language weitergegeben werden soll???!!

wenn du per select (drop-down) oder wie auch immer angewählt hast, wird bis zur neuen Wahl der Sprache doch immer die ausgewählte weitergegeben, denn du wechselst ja in lang/... in der dortigen main.php wird einfach die Sprache ausgegeben und per Klick (egal auf was) immer weiter übergeben
