Will 4images 1.7.1 work on MySQL 4.1.15 ???

Hi

I am a fan of 4images and run it in the following environment: MySQL 4.0.25 –standard and PHP 4.4.0 and will be upgrading to PHP 4.4.1 and MySQL 4.1.15  :D

I am worried that; will 4images work after the upgrade?  :(

Never change a running System! (o:

I think that no ones knows the Answer for the Question , but there are normaly not Problemes with the Version of mySQL & PHP... (o:

Thanks V@no, in about one week my web host will upgrade MySQL 4.0.25 –standard to MySQL 4.1.15. I am going to apply your patch now, so that I will not face any problems with downtime.

Without the fix you have not downtimes!

I read somewhere this info:

“Please be aware that the upgrade to MySQL 4.1.15 from 4.0.26 is a major
update.  Some syntax changes have been made & the password hashing in
MySQL 4.1.x is different from the previous MySQL 4.0.x versions. One should check to ensure that all of your scripts/web
applications are MySQL 4.1 compatible.”

4images does not use "password" type fields, so no worries there, but even if it would, the host administrator supposed to run some special mysql scripts to convert v4.0 database to v4.1 (or was it only for upgrading v3 to v4 ?)
anyways 4images is compatible with v4.1 but not with v5.x yet :(

Yes the host admin said that they will be able to maintain the old hashing system for the time being (but advised to ensure that all scripts/web applications are MySQL 4.1 compatible).

Glad to know that 4images will be working fine on v4.x

my server will be upgraded from php 4.4.1 to 4.4.4.
